Hey guys,

So right now i have 1k watts off of 4 gauge wire to my amp and i used the 4 Gauge kolossus kit from KNU. I plan on buying a cadence TXA-300/2 amp to run my PG rsd's at 150w each. I plan on buying this distribution block:

http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KNF-12

Then i will i think use either 4 or 8 gauge wire from the dist. to my new amp and obviously use 4 gauge from dist. to my amp i have now.

Questions:

1. First what two fuse sizes do i need to order for my distribution block? (look at link)

2. Should i use 4 gauge or 8 gauge wire from the dist. to my new 300 watt amp?

3. Do i need to buy any other fuses for the new amp?

4. How much total wire am i going to need?

-How much ground?

-How much power wire?

-How much speaker wire for the comp's?

-How much extra 4 gauge for my old amp to go from dist to amp?

5. What else am i going to need to buy to install the new amp besides rca cables?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Hey guys,

So right now i have 1k watts off of 4 gauge wire to my amp and i used the 4 Gauge kolossus kit from KNU. I plan on buying a cadence TXA-300/2 amp to run my PG rsd's at 150w each. I plan on buying this distribution block:

Then i will i think use either 4 or 8 gauge wire from the dist. to my new amp and obviously use 4 gauge from dist. to my amp i have now.

Questions:

1. First what two fuse sizes do i need to order for my distribution block? (look at link) I would use whatever size your amp has internally. Most likely around 30 amps for the little one and 80 for the sub amp

2. Should i use 4 gauge or 8 gauge wire from the dist. to my new 300 watt amp? 8 gauge is fine

3. Do i need to buy any other fuses for the new amp? No

4. How much total wire am i going to need? Depends on how far you mount your amp away from the distribution block. You will have to measure.

-How much ground? You can either run a ground from the amp to where your amp is grounded now (measure for length) or you can buy a ground block and use that the same way as the power distribution block.

-How much power wire? See above.

-How much speaker wire for the comp's? Once again depends on where you mount the amp and where the speakers are. Usually in the area of 25-30 ft should work if mounting in trunk.

-How much extra 4 gauge for my old amp to go from dist to amp? Once again measure.

5. What else am i going to need to buy to install the new amp besides rca cables?

8 and 4 ga Power wire, speaker wire, 16 or 18 ga is usually sufficient)., d-block and 8 ga (maybe 4 ga) ground wire. You will need to jumper the remote wire from amp to amp.
