Quick wiring question

I have a 2 channel amp that is 2 ohm stable in stereo and i want to run 2 svc 4 ohm subs in 2 ohm

amp has +&- left and +&- right

how would i wire them at the amp to show a 2 ohm load?

I know i need to run the speakers in parallel + to + and - to -

but which channel do i use on the amp?

or dosen't it matter?

2 SVC drivers with Voice Coils in Parallel

This is pretty simple, too. Wire both woofer (+) to the amplifier's (+) and do the same with the (-) connections.

2 Ohm Subwoofer: 1 Ohm

3 Ohm Subwoofer: 1.5 Ohms

4 Ohm Subwoofers: 2 Ohms

8 Ohm Subwoofers: 4 Ohms

12 Ohm Subwoofers: 6 Ohms

on the amp above the + and - there should be one that says bridged and has a line connecting them. Usually its the outer + and -

edit: oops wait, I think I missed something, what kind of amp is it?

ok first, you wire the positive wire from the left channel to the pisitive terminal on sub 1. Then, run that wire to the positive on sub 2. then you connect that to the positive on the right channel. Then, do the same with the negatives. Then, you run a wire from the positive on sub 1 to the negative on sub 2, and then a wire from the negative on sub 1 to the positive on sub 2. then run a wire from the posiive on the right channel to the positive on sub 1, nd a negative from the left chnnel to sub 2, and vice versa.
If you do this correctly, it should look like this:

... and your amp will probably fry. Good luck getting 2 4 ohm SVC subs to make 2 ohms stereo. Any more stupid questions?

dood that was gey. stop confusing these kids.

ok maybe i meant 2 ohm mono....

Ok how should I wire this amp and 2 4ohm svc subs to get the most out of the amp?

and jmanpc thanks for opening up my eyes.

You are the man!

you cant make 2 ohm mono, unless your amp support it...otherwise youll be stuck with 4 ohm mono

corrent me if im wrong. but your options are wire 2 svc4 into a 2 ohm load. which in this case you would probably need a new amp. or run them into 2 channel at 4 ohm, which doesnt seem to be what you want.

With a 2 channel amp, you'll likely get the most power if you run it in 4 ohm mono. If you wire the subs in parallel you can get that from those subs.

+- +-

| |___| |___amp

|_________amp

i have come to the conclusion (with great wisdom from jmanpc) that all i can do with this setup is to wire it to 4 ohms stereo and wait till i can buy bigger

Thanks for everyones input
