quick wire question

sorry for all the questions lately.. im doin my first install and have been running into a few things i wanna get straight..

right now im putting my wires together matching colors.. but on one end theres 1 solid orange.. and on the other end there is a white/orange.. only 1 on each end.. the solid orange says illumination and the orange/white says to headlight switch.. do i wire them together?

if your deck doesnt have an ill wire then jest cap them off so they dont touch metal, dont put them together, there is current going thru them from your car's harness
