ok as you know me and monte_carlo97 are doing a custom install in my car. we just got the false floor traced and put in but we are having a problem. after we got the base laid out we decided to hook up the amp to see if it was working properly. welp think again.... right when i turned the car on sparks flew by the fuses on the amp and all 3 x 40 amp fuses blew instantly.

anyone have any ideas on what would cause and amp to blow its fuses. we have checked the power wire and it is touching nothing anywhere.

did the main power line fuse blow?
no it is a 100 amp anl fuse.

But it was blowing before we put the ANL fuse in.

Before it was agu style.

Now the fuses are blowing on the side of the amp.

So yes it was blowing before. But we rewired everything with 0 ga. and now it is blowing on the side of the amp

i'll recheck the + and - tomorrow but i'm pretty sure it was ok. i have a 250 amp anl fuse under the hood, a 100 amp to the distro block and the amp fuses keep blowing!!!! ahhHH!

i would check to make sure there are no stray wires anywhere in the line

and also if you're ok with it, open the amp up and make sure everything looks ok there (nothing touching that shouldnt be)
