alright im about to install some components with a separate amp from my subs....right now i have the low pass filter on my head unit set to 80hz......when i hook up another amp wont this cut off all the highs that need to be sent to the components?

not if you run the rca's from the right output. the low pass filter on the head unit only filters the sub out.

so i have to run another set of rca's? i cant just run a short set from one amp to the other?

you can i guess. you'll lose alot of control of sound from the head unit. just run a new set of rca's

run new RCA's to the comp amp,

and use the "front" rca output on the radio
