quick question?

ok i have an mj-18 on about 1000 watts, and i am wanting to get a new 12in. powerbass 2XL. so i am wondering wich one of these will be louder on 1000 watts, and i know its stupid to compare a 12 in. to an 18 in most cases but the mj-18 is not exactly as loud as most 18's. oh and the 18 is in a 3 cu ft sealed box and the powerbass would be in recomended ported box.

too many factors to tell.. but most times, given other things arent interfering too much, a sealed 18 will be louder than a ported 12 (tuned daily) on the same power.

It's tough not knowing all factors involved. I have 2 12's that are louder than a lot of chit. But I have also heard not as much be louder. (on the meter) I personally wouldn't say. Good luck with the help though. Best bet is to try it.
