Quick Question

Well first ill start by saying, no a new battery wont fix any problems that might occur. Second, if your really going to be running that kind of power there WILL be problems. Third you might as well start looking for a bigger alternator or finding a way to piggyback two stock ones because a 70 amp alternator is only going to be good for about 500 watts rms after what current is left after all the accessories and ignition systems, computer systems, etc. get what they need first in order to keep the car running. After you pass that point youll start to pull current from the battery since the alt wont be able to give out anymore, which will eventually lead to a dead battery somewhere along the road.

For starters, when going that high in power 150 amps is going the be the least you need. More would certainly be better.

 
Would the Big 3 help out, or do you think I would probally still have problems.

I should really be worrying about this once I get everything hooked up, but I just was wondering what you guys had to say.

 
I have a stock 80 amp alternator on my car. I am running 1600 rms watts right now, with only slight dimming at full volume. I would put all of it in and then see if you need a HO alt. That is an expensive upgrade and you may not need it, expecially with only 900w rms. Yes Big 3 will help and it may fix it for you completely.

I would upgrade the "big 3" first and see how much it helps you. If you need a high ouput alternator - you will need to upgrade the wiring anyways so that would already be done and have you a step ahead.
