Unless it's a very cheap or unreliable amp (one that stands a high chance of breaking down anyway in normal use...), go for it. There won't be any problems unless those problems are there to begin with.

but if you do make sure you secure it well and also if you ever remove it make sure there are no air leaks.

why not just make a small amp rack?

I didn't do the install and my trunk space is very limited... I'll post some pics of the install.

Someone told me I should get some black wire loom and mount down the box with L brackets.

Good idea or not?

It'll work, but I would have just had a small amp rack built to keep your amp semi-permanent. It makes it a WHOLE lot easier to remove the sub if you ever had to use your trunk.

the bitmap thimage that I drew up doesnt look quite right. the part at the top statement says you could use wood. or fb (fiberglass) and mold it to the side panel.
