If I use 8 gage wires for a 1200 rms amp what would happen?

would it just lose power or would it start problems such as fire?

You asked the once, and you got answers...

You will lose power.

Fire will only happen with an unrated fuse.

My suggestion: Dont skimp out on wire, and go buy some 0 or 4 gauge.

what do u mean by an unrated fuse?

what if i keep my wires but change frm (2) 20 amp fuses to (1) 40 amp and keep my wires?

your fuses are fine, 8guage will cause your amp to not be able to draw the current it needs which means less power... no matter what you do...

Solution: **** it up and upgrade to 4 or 0... i'm running 4 with that power and it is plenty...
