what subs would sound really good running off a jbl gto 1201.1 amp? iam thinking about getting 2 12" shivas when they comeout but i dont know if i want to wait any longer, so what subs are close to shivas or better for a decent price? no more then 150 a sub. thanks

well what subs would compare to the shivas and alpines? the jbl amp is big amp and i want some subs that can handle it and be heard but have some SQ too. thanks.

i think i might get 2 12" alpine type r's (05) and i was looking on ebay and there is 2 different kinds one is (2ohm+2ohm) and (4ohm+4ohm). not sure which ones to get. i will be running it off the jbl gto 1201.1 amp like i said above. http://www.jbl.com/car/products/product_detail.aspx?prod=GTO1201.1%20II&ser=GTS&cat=AMP and i was wondering what type i should get and how i should wire it up? thanks

In my experience, Type R's will get slightly louder than a Shiva, but have a little less SQ. It's very close, though.

sorry for buming the thread up but i never did get a real anwser^^^^ iam thinking the 2o+2o cuase my amp puts out the most power at 2 ohms so should i do that and how do i wire it? thanks
