Quick Question on Transmission Line Box

I was pretty sure from looking at the pics in the other thread but now that I have seen that cutsheet, I'm certain, you have a ported enclosure not a TL. The constant width of the vent was a big giveaway. Combine that with the relatively small port length and the large airspace behind the sub and, yep it's a ported box. Don't worry too much about it. If you like how it sounds then that is what matters, but now at least you know...

A TL for a single one of those sube would probably be as big as that ported box for the pair. There's a reason that you don't see many in cars.

How did u round inside corners, just liquid nails??
i use resin and this stuff called microballoons (local hobby shop) its a powder that mixes with resins and epoxys that becomes absolutely rock solid but sands like balsa. very cheap too :thumbsupw

you sure that that box is a transmission line enclosure? Those specs you linked to are for a vented enclosure (see the title on that page you linked to).

I don't know anything about them, but i e-mailed diamond asking for transmission and that's what they sent me telling me thats what it was.

mine says Transmission line enclosure, looking at it the only differ is an additional piece of wood (but totaly differ demension, but mine is for a single 10" tl box), put pics on the other thread about this, I know what a vented Diamond enclosure looks like, not like that so Im stumped with that design.

well i have seen designs for true transmission boxes, and theyre absolutely huge comparted to a normal ported design. Personally i dont care what the actual design is because it sounds good to me :p

all that matters is that it sounds good to you

for those of you that are wondering: the length of the line needs to be 1/4 of the wave length of the Fs of the speaker, and the opening need to have the same surface area as the Sd of the sub, fill the line with polyfill getting gradually less dense with it

that is what i heard how to build one
