Quick Question On Testing This Amp

I don't have any electrical upgrades or anything done yet (since I won't be installing this for another few weeks) But was wondering if I were to just hook it up to any car battery and a ground would I be able to test it for power? Just trying to make sure the amp works, which it should since it came sealed from MAXXSONICS but still, factory defects are common.

But assuming I have gains all the way down to zero or whatever it won't be sending any signal really so it shouldn't have much of a current draw so it should be fine on just a battery without anything just to verify it powers on without going into protect, right?

Let me know guys, Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm pretty noob to this as you all know.

just dont blast it and it will work.

it will drain the battery if you play it but it will work.

If your just gonna run a power and ground to the battery, and jump the remote wire to the positive, then yes, this will work to see if the power light comes on...

Alright cool thanks for the answers guys. Yeah I just wanna verify it powers on and the protect isn't going on and such.
