Quick Question on Alpine 15"

So would a Hifonics BXi1608D wired to 1ohm from a 2ohm sub be safe if I just had the gain and bass boost pretty moderate? Thanks!

that's because you clipped it. it had nothing to do with the watts.
No not really, it was being powered by an Kicker kx2500.1 @ 4 ohms and gains was sett with a DMM, what it sounds un-believable that a sub rated @ 750 watts rms blew off 1,200 - 1,300 watts?

You made a mistake somewhere, I have seen one take 1800rms without blowing

Gains set with a DMM, had a great electrical 250 amp alternator with a deep cycle battery in the back, i was planning to run a dual 15 Inch Type R setup but since i blew my first one of 1200 - 1300 watts i went with a different option, i mean they were nice subs but come on 2.5 inch coil FTL, i've seen a couple dudes on here do some amazing things and numbers with them but as far as Giving them that much power "daily" i wouldnt do it, but the most i would give them would be about 1,000 watt rms daily

if you had the gains set right, it wouldn't have blown:fyi: what's so hard to figure out about that?

Gains set @ 72.11 on a good electrical so tell me how many watts is that 1,300 right? Thank you..........All I'm telling you is that from my personnel experience that I blew one of 1,300 watts, are you telling me that it is 100% impossible to blow a sub rated @ 750 watts rms with a 2.5 inch coil off a constant 1,300 watts?

what made you pick 1300? why did you do so much on a 750 rms sub? you're welcome
LOL! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif who doesn't push subs to the limit, i took a $125 sub and just gave it a little extra juice
