Quick Question (Ohms)

no idea. there are too many variables to exactly know what it will actually put out. i tried doing a search and got this http://www.kenwood.de/download_archiv/kac646x.pdf#search='KAC646X'eh just copy and paste.

i'm just guessing but theoretically if it does 35 x 4 @ 4 ohms then it will do 70 x 2 @ 4 ohms.
I've owned several of the KAC-646X 4-channels. Bulletproof little amps with a fairly small footprint.

Alpha's guess was right on the money.

Those amps' ratings are as follows: (given a 14.4vdc input)

25w X 4 @ 4 Ohm stereo

35w X 4 @ 2 Ohm stereo

70w X 2 @ 4 Ohm mono bridged

Not too long after I joined CA.com I sold a matched pair of these amps to a fella that wandered over here from another forum. Great little amps, versatile as all get out. Decent filters but I could wish for variable settings rather than On/Off for either LPF (fixed at 80Hz) or HPF (fixed at 150Hz).

^ Cool. Thx for the clarification.
No problem - I ran one of those amps for years (literally) in several different configurations. Bought it new (from Sears, of all places!) and when I sold it to Infinite012 last year with another one just like it I bought from eBay the fuse in the chassis was the same one that Kenwood put in it before I bought it new in the summer of '97. 8 years of everyday use without a single issue ever makes me reckon I got my money's worth from it! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
