Quick question about the tachometer in my Jeep..

I will be removing the gauge cluster because I have to run some wires for the HU in which my question was , If I drive the truck , will my odometer stay where it is at or is there a memory in the trucks ECU that would update the trucks milage when I re-install the gauge cluster ? I just dont want to alter anything but I do have to drive the truck a few miles tomorro in which the gauge cluster will be out . Ive removed the gauge cluster on my RSX before but that was all digital so im not sure . Thanks guys .

do you have a digital dash or older style if its the roller kind than you dont have any thing to worry about miles cause its mecanical but if its digital than im pitty shure it goes thrue ur cars comp
