Quick question about my Autotek MM4000.1

Anyone with experience with this amp know if there is an advantage running it in mono vs. stereo? It will put out the same power either way (4000w x 1 @ 2, 2000w x 2 @ 1). I thought that I've heard it runs stronger/more efficient when bridged/mono. But I've ran it in stereo since i've had it...
