that's what the big three is for, helping out the ghey battery i have and ima talk to my mom bout a new battery hahau shud run the sub u are powering first and see if the big 3 is even necessary...
u may need it but even if u do it with the battery u have now you will probably need a new batt somewhere along the lines...
+ Batt. to alt+where to connect the cables for the 1/0 awg for the big 3
this is what i think, could be totally wrong
i run the wire from + battery terminal---> alt ---> engine block ---> + battery terminal??? then ground off of the battery???
yea, what he saidBattery + to Alt +, battery - to chassis, engine block to chassis.
Edit : Chassis = Body/Frame
You ground the engine block because you have A LOT of current running through it, if you don't ground it, you can't get that current to travel. There fore you would have excessive heat, and you would see a drop in efficiency. (Only my guess, 'cause at this point I'm talking out of my ***. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif )schaweetttt
so just wondering, why would you need to ground out the engine block???
haha it's cool, my *** was just talking, while i was on the toilet, but that's done now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gifYou ground the engine block because you have A LOT of current running through it, if you don't ground it, you can't get that current to travel. i wish i was noobish...Just know this....
If you plan on running a pair of Funky Pups 8s, you need to double up on all 3 runs and get a flux capacitor. You seem Noobish, so go with the 8s. 12s would kill you.
The alternator is grounded to the engine block, therefore you would want to fully ground the engine block so you don't make anything electronics fail because of a faulty ground. Just like an amp, ground it with a thick wire, you'll be able to run it for a while, ground it with a little puny wire, and you can say bye bye to that amp. (Not necessarily, but you get my point, I hope.)haha it's cool, my *** was just talking, while i was on the toilet, but that's done now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
i can't figure it out, like the belts are turning the alt, which is then charging the battery, if there is a rise in efficiency it still shouldn't affect the engine block because the alt runs straight to the battery which is always pushing out a relative load, the battery is only getting charged a little easier and is relieving alot of stress from the alt. so the same power is still going into the engine block from the battery...
no clue, i'm not questioning the ground off the engine block, just trying to brainstorm why??? haha
any other good theries???
jk about my *** talking also....
