well makes perfect sense, now we know, thanks for that tid bitThe alternator is grounded to the engine block, therefore you would want to fully ground the engine block so you don't make anything electronics fail because of a faulty ground. Just like an amp, ground it with a thick wire, you'll be able to run it for a while, ground it with a little puny wire, and you can say bye bye to that amp. (Not necessarily, but you get my point, I hope.)
