1.where can i buy a gallon or more of resin?

2.what do i use to cut the fiberglass when its hard

3.for my dash i have a little surround piece i want to fiberglass how can iget that to be the same size as the stock one? so it will still fit there?

1 expresscomposites.com cheaper places are plentiful online, but the rule and have the best stuff

2 a grinder? a dremel? anything like that

3. actually use a new plastic piece or your existing one and mold to it- are you trying to add an lcd screen to a stock dash type of thing?

3.

not trying to add a screen where my hu is i want to make a panel that covers that for something not sure what and i want to reposition my hu

how do i make a duplicate?

can i just take the piece out and fiberglass that but the fleece will be to thick to fit back in the spot how to fix that

sry guys first fiberglass job

it is much thicker than the good stuff. it doesn't do as good of a job of fully soaking the mat, it gets more air bubbles, it gives you funky working times (is inconstent), ends up being not as strong (due to most of those earlier things), is much much harder to work with because it's so much thicker. Is basically the crap they throw away when they make the good stuff.

try it once and you'll never go back- i knwo what i'm talking about

guys-
if you are going to home depot and getting resin you are making life 10,000 times tougher on yourselves than it should be... and your final product much crappier
Really, I have had no problems using it, final product looks great whats your reasoning?????//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

theres easier ways to soak the mat than a brush, i did get a couple of air bubbles but that was because of the curve of the project and i cut the matt to large but that was an easy fix. It was pretty consistant same indoor temp and same amount of hardner gave me exactly 15min of working with it before setting.

what have you been making?

may be able to get away with it on small projects where strength is less of a factory and/or able to overcome it onlarge ones where you have no choice- i had to use the bad stuff when i went down to grand cayman to do some installs last year and wow was it awful, but it worked out ok...

i cant really say because of to many peeps on here, im a competitor //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif but i must say its a large project and it is strong I did 4 layers and i was able to jump up and down on it with no cracking I did a total of 10 layers for overkill but i like to overkill everything //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I also used bondo to smooth everything out, primed it and painted it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif One more project to do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
