Quick dumb wiring harness question.

Hey all. I am going to be installing my first head unit where I use a wiring harness soon and I have a quick noob *** question. How exactly do I know which wires are which on the wiring harness? I know it's a dumb question, but I just can't figure it out. Thanks

Your owners manual for your head unit should tell you exactly what every wire is and does......

Normally they are color coded so they should match up with the harness you buy for your car. But its always a good idea to confirm with the manual so you dont mix anything up.

they will all be color coted the same... just watch for the neg. wire's the one's with a black stripe.

yellow: 12v bat

red: switched 12v

black: ground

white : left front +

white w/black: left front -

grey: right front +

grey w/ black: RF -

green LR + ( left rear)

green w/black -

purple RR :+ (right rear)

purple w/black: -
