i have two PA A3000db amps, wired to a 1ohm load on each to two orion hcca 12.2's and i have the stock battery up front, and stock 100amp alt, and in the back i have a kinetik hc-800, and two 750CCA caterpillar batteries, and when playing my voltage still drops to around 11v-12v, is this normal

I'm not sure, but I would have to say yes. you have a stock alt for all those batts? If you ahve a hard time keeping up with 1 bat, what makes you think it wont struggle for 4+ batts?

I have no idea what Caterpillar batteries are, but if they are anything like those Butterfly batteries, they **** //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

So basically you are running 4600W RMS on a stock alt and a bunch of small batteries and you are still wondering why your voltage sags? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

caterpillar batts, are heavy equipment batteries, pretty big batteries, so ya think i need a much bigger alt. then 100 amp alternator

Why the hell would you use tractor batteries for car audio? And mixing 3 different batteries in a car is bad news as well. Time to toss out 90% of that shit and buy proper stuff. Get two Group 31 batteries for the rear, the biggest alt you can buy, and toss out the tractor batteries and that little Kinetik.

keep the kinetic battery ditch the junk cat bats and get a real alternator do the BIG3 and see where ur at.
That HC800 is not going to help much when pushing 4600W //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

It is rated to handle 800W RMS. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
