Can I live?
I currently have a Sonic FX12 on about 1800w in a 2.6cuft@34hz enclosure in the trunk of my Cadillac. Its loud, but I want a little more. I was offered a trade for a Fi SSD18. I have about 10cuft in my trunk to work with, so I have the room to do sub up/port back for it. Would the 18 be louder than the 12?

The 18 facing up as opposed to the 12 firing back is concerning me, as well as the fact that the SSD is the bottom grade Fi. My goal is a loud daily driver that gets low on music. What direction should I take? Help fast

Bottom line Fi doesnt say much. I bet the SSD will be good for at least 1200. I gave a Q 1700w RMS for awhile once. Also I believe alot of bigger cars like Caprices and crown vics people run subs up ports back alot. I would do the trade. Tune to around 30 hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

If they where the same size the Fx would kill the ssd, but if you want lower then get the ssd...I have used both, and the FX is a better overall driver, but of course the 18 should get lower then the 12...Be careful giving the ssd over 1000rms though

SSD I think would be louder. Also, I think Fi came out with a new line of subs lower than the SSDs.
Yeah they did, but think they're Ib subs, so i don't count them. If the Sonic was a 15 would you still think the SSD would be louder?
