Quick but important question

Im brand new ..and ive heard about these internet subs...XXX and D2 magnum....right now i have 2 12 inch alpine type rs hooked up to a massive Rs 50 amp..I like the alpines alot...but i want a better SPL and a lil better SQ....now im deff gettin a JBL 1200.1 from loneranger.......ive got 700 dollars after sellin my sytem...now 210 for the amp...another 130 for the box from lone ranger also...that leaves me with 360...should i get the 12 inch XXX or the 12 inch D2..which will work better with the JBL...its can be bridged at 1 ohm (1300 watts) ....im 17 i want mostly louder bass than the type Rs but i want a lil better SQ...thanx alot..get back to me soon

well i would go with the D2. because from what i know about the XXX to really move it u need 1400W+..... and i think ht emag has better Sq .... if that is even a factor ..... but both r great subs....

I'm sure 1300 RMS would be pretty good for a XXX. I think the XXX can handle that kind of power better than a D2 could. Unless i'm mistaken.

i havent heard a D2 yet but ive hear a few setups with type R's and a setup of a 15" XXX in a big ported box. The SPL of the XXX is ridiculous, the R's dont even come close to a XXX. Suposedly the D2 is as good as the XXX and better in SQ and its cheaper so i say go with a 12" d2 and put it in a ported box tuned low and it will outdue ur R's by a long shot.

I had 2 kicker solo baric d series the last model round ones on My RF Power 1050s (1050wrms X1 @ 4ohms) and my XXX ported with the same amp puts them to shame SQ and SPL! And those Solo's were pretty mean subs!
