quick battery question

if i get a yellow top under the hood, can i use my stock oem battery in the rear of the car as a second batt. with no problems?

Im trying to hook up the said amp in my sig but i heard they dont take voltage problems too well.

simple answer and maybe an explination if the answer is no.

yea as long as you wire it right, but would be pointless if your alt isn't powerful enough to charge both,

whats the amperage on your alt

im going with a 200amp excessive amprage alt but i think my alt now is like 90 or 110

Wired in parallel, it makes no difference which battery is where so long as you're charging system is capable enough to charge both batteries adequately.

i'd get a yellowtop and wire it up by itself. do the big 3, and get your 200 amp alt, if u still get drops wire up a second battery(preferrably another yellowtop) in parallel.

run them both along with the big 3. doesn't matter if the yellow top is in the front or the back.

DO though try to upgrade BOTH batteries at some point, as in get rid of the stock and run 2 good battery banks.

i currently run a group 51 size battery(stock) in under the hood with a hc2400 in the trunk, before it was a optima redtop in the trunk.

when the redtop was in i was pushing a saz1500d.

now with the kinetik i'm pushing 2 1500d's strapped. my voltage stays above 12.2 on a stock 90a alt. i'm waiting till my EA alt comes in, though i keep my car on a charger to help stabalize my voltage untill the alt comes in. plus i don't go blasting my music all around.
