Quick amp test tone question!

I want to set my amp gain with a DMM. I'm using a 50hz test tone. I only listen to my iPod on my Alpine 9884 head unit. Can I set the gain using the test tone on my iPod? Thanks..

Yes, you can use the test tone through your Ipod! If you need it to be longer, download Audacity and copy/paste until it is about 20 minutes long. That should give you plenty of time to play around with the test tone!
