ok i got another question if i hook up the battery in the back then have a jl audio 500/1 running two mtx 12"s then a jl audio 250/1 running 2 mtx 12"s it wont drain the battery in the fron of the car?? or fry the alternator i have had this problem before? or as long as i have it hooked up to the battery in the trunk i should be fine correct?

...so you have, in total, 4 12's and each pair is running off of different amps? I would have them on the same types of amps, but to answer the question:

-If the car is off and you dont have a relay for the rear battery, yes, it will drain/feed off of both batteries (eventually draining them, but it'd take a while Id say)

-With the car on you shouldnt have a problem at all and I wouldnt think your alternator would have much of a problem with this (Ive seen stock alts and single, stock battery's have more power running just fine)

you think a jl audio 500/1 would be able to handle 4 subs? they are rated at 300 rms each?? and where would i get a relay for the battery in the back..or i am basically driving all day so at night i could just take the positive running from the battery in the front to the battery in the back out of the terminal and i would be fine?

yes in total 4 12"s, two are running off a 500/1 and the other two are running off a 250/1.

Just to make it clear...when I said 'with the car off' I meant if youre playing your system with it off...not if its just sitting there parked

No, I was saying that I'd just sell the one 250 and make it a 500 so that you have the same power to each 12...
