I have a pair of two 1006t audiobbahn subwoofer in a enclosed box and a 1000 watt profile california amp on a jvc head unit. when I hook both of my subs up and turn he volume up to like 15 my amp will go in protection mode. Can anybody suggest what I should do for it can stop doing that?

you're probably wiring the amp at a load its not wanting to run //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

what impedence are those subs? and how do you have them wired?

it could also be a shoddy ground, or too much input.. but we'll start at the load..

don't know what you talking about about the subs being indepence but I go both the postive twisted into one and the negaive twised into one and I think I got them bridged. its at the bottom out side ports of the my amp which is the profile ap1040 series.

To put it simply; you have the wrong amplifier for those subwoofers. You need to seriously look into purchasing a new amplifier for the subwoofers....preferably a mono amplifier.

But it sounds like you are driving the amplifier into too low of an impedance as bigbassman said. You could rewire them and make it "work"....but you would be horribly underpowering the subwoofers. You would be much better off just buying a different amp.

Your subs are Dual 4 Ohm drivers.

Those are a bad match for a 4-channel amp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Your options are either (A) get a pair of Dual 2 Ohm subs which can be wired in series to a 4 Ohm load and would then be able to be driven by your amplifier configured in 2-channel mono bridged mode or (B) Get a 2-channel or monoblock amp and keep the subs you've already got.

ok prowler I want to keep my subs. so what type of amp do you recommend? That will make my subs hit harder than I got them wired up to the profile amp?
Those subs are rated to accept 900w RMS (though I'd personally like to see someone drive 900 watts into one for any length of time to see if that rating is accurate or not)

So - going just by the factory-given ratings (as I know nothing about Audiobahn gear personally having never owned any) you'll want an amp that will do around 1500 watts or so at a 4 Ohm load or a 1 Ohm load (which is the most practical wiring options for a pair of DVC 4 Ohm subs)

1 Ohm wiring for your pair of subs:
