Question to all S-Series owners...

If you go with OEM baffle, you *must* but 6" speakers. JL and PG are the only people I know that make them. Yuo can put the tweeter in the door panel, which is what I did. Currently, I have these JL coaxials....but if I can find some premium 6" componets, I will go with that.

maybe i missed something, but i have 6.5" speakers in my s10 door.

Maybe posting up the years you guys have would help aswell. Mines a 94, first year of the second generation bodystyling.

Door panels changed in 98 IIRC.

ture they did change but i didnt think they changed the speaker mounting as i have had/ and change some door speakers (pre 98 and post 98) in different s10s and hey where all 6.5". not saying every single on was, just the 4 or so i have meesed with.

Crutchfield says that the door speakers aren't any specific size or something, so 6.5s are the biggest you can fit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I might pull my door panel off. Never done it before. I do have a GM panel tool I think.

I get it off with a small screwdriver......
