I have a 94 GMC Sonoma reg cab. It says on crutchfield that the front speakers are 4x6s. Is it possible to put in 6.5s in the dash with adapters?
hmm. I'm not sure what component set I will be using yet. Would something like this be okay? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_13966_Infinity+Kappa+462.9cfp.htmlmaybe some shallow mount 6.5's with some mods...the duct work from the vents would prohibit deep mount speakers....
We aren't talking about doors, or Cavaliers. My cavalier had stock 4x6" speakers and Ive fit a 7" in there. Takes some modification but it can be done. Not sure what your door looks like on the inside though, mine was pretty empty.
y?I dont recommend reflecting the tweeters off the windshield, as dash mounting would require.
I didnt care for it too much either but I didnt want to make any extra holes in the interior until I was sure I was keeping the truck. Actually it doesnt sound too bad in the dash but It would sound better off axis low and away for the tweeter Iam currently using.I dont recommend reflecting the tweeters off the windshield, as dash mounting would require.
