[Question] SA-8 v2 + American Bass 80.1 in .6ft^3@38Hz

I plan on putting an American bass 80.1 @ 1ohm through this speaker. Is an 80.1 @ 1ohm going to play nice with this speaker as a daily driver?
Going into a .6 ft^3 @38Hz box. Almost it's bare minimum size for 1 speaker after displacement.

Also is this speaker the best choice. I need something small. Can barely fit a 10" with the box in my Lincoln Mark 8. Trunk space is half the size, height wise, than you would think.

Budget, at this point is 700$ I plan on only one speaker and one amp. I'd rather over power than under power. I know the 80.1 is more than the speaker, speaker box and cables price wise. So for the second question; Is this amp the best choice? Should I look at something lower end or stick with the 80.1 which AB says is rated at 1000 watts RMS @ 1ohm which is what the speakers will be set at.
That AB is a good amp, but like others said, You will only have the Carstereo giant exchange warranty(if they have that?)...here is the sub you want from an Authorized dealer with full Sundown warranty:

WoofersEtc.com - SA-8 V.2 D2 - Sundown Audio 8" Dual 2-Ohm SA V.2 Series Subwoofer

a good amp to match with Sundown warranty:

WoofersEtc.com - SAZ-1000D - Sundown Audio 1000W 1-Channel Monoblock Amplifier

a good amp kit, a lot of peeps here like the Cadence wire.:

WoofersEtc.com - AMPKIT4 - Cadence 4 Gauge Professional Amplifier Installation Kit CADAMP4

all the above is shipped free, and in my experience, usually shipped within 24 hrs of my order.

some good box builders:

Starr Mountain Sound

SS Audio Solutions

DC Creations - DC can sell you a box in pre-cut flat kit form, and prolly save some shipping costs, if you do not mind some assembly required.

just do a little homework, bro.

Well, woke up today to find that sometime yesterday the hot water heater went out. Since we just finished doing the roof the home repair fund is low. ******* having to use nearly all of the budget to fix the hot water heater. Setting me back a week or two.

My trunk has a VERY limited height. The airbag suspension forces the trunk to be 1/2 height. Basically forcing me to use an 8 or possible a 10, but to me I feel I may have trouble with a 10.

Just went out and measured it. I have 11.5" of clearance in the trunk. So I could not fit a 10" speaker inside that trunk. The stock amp rack sits too low and the spare tire sits too high.

If the SAZ-1000d and the AB 80.1 are basically the same I guess logically at the price point of the SAZ-1000d at 299$ and the AB 100.1 at 299$(80.1 260$) I should get the AB 100.1 for the extra 500wrms at the same price point. This would also give head room if in the event I do decide to add another speaker to the system.

what kind of Hot water heater? The reason I ask is the water company shut off our water supply for some line repairs once and my whole system was on a vacuum. The water was evacuated from my hotwater heater for a couple of hours before I noticed and cut power to it(elec. heater). I went over everything with a DMM when we got water back and had to replace the heating element. It took like 10 minutes and $15.00 worth of parts from Lowes to fix.....I was sweating buying another $400.00 hot water heater before I heard I might be able to fix it myself. As long as the tank is good, you can fix them pretty cheap vs. new.

ps..The AB VFL100.1 is a good amp too. But if you suspect you might want to add another sub later, get a D4 sub now and a amp that will do twice the power at 1 ohm than 2 ohms. Look into the AQ2200D for 1000w on a single D4 sub and 2000watts rms on two D4 subs. They were on sale recently for $350 ea., usually about $425 ea. I have ran one for several years without any issues, they are bulletproof.

Electric water heater. Looks like a short. It's old anyways.

I really don't think I will add another speaker. I just wanted the car to have a little low end. If I do go with the 100.1 instead of the 80.1 that will be another 500rms to that one speaker, which itself is rated for 500rms. I might as well just stay with the 80.1.
