BUCK FAMA
Ok..I have been in a frantic mood lately trying to decide which new sub setup to buy..I had narrowed it down to a 18" RL-p or 18" Fi BL.. I just want a loud daily driver that will pound the lows...
I know both of these subs will give me what I need. I have 1500 watts on hand to work with.. I was told the RL-P will get lower, but the Fi will get louder and handle the power better. But technically, if the Fi does get a 1-3 dBs louder, will its low-end not be near the same as the RL-P? Or is there really that steep of a drop off?
Also..How much of a factor does cone area play in getting low/loud..Because I just found out another setup fits into my budget..2 15" Fi SSDs... That would be more cone area than the 18"s, and I have the ideal amount of power to give them... With a lower tuning for daily driving (as with the 18" subs), of about 32 hz, would the cone area advantage of the dual 15"s give me the loudness and lows I am looking for?
I am having a hard time deciding just how much of a factor cone area plays...
