Question on wiring DVC sub

If your two terminals are 4 ohms, that will make a 2 ohm load.

If your terminals are both 8 ohm, that will make a 4 ohm load.

If your terminals are 2 ohm, that will make a 1 ohm load.

What you have pictured is called "wiring in parallel".

well now i thought that i would get 2, but i wasnt completely sure

just trying to get the most out of a 2 channel amp with one dvc sub, thats all

Are you planning on bridging your amp to one channel? Unless your amp can handle a 1 ohm load when bridged, you can't wire your sub in parallel.

When I say that, I'm assuming your sub has 4ohm terminals....does it?

i was just trying to figure that out, its a pioneer gm5100t, and a kappa 120.3

but i'm just gonna try and hook both coils up to a seperate channel instead

i know all about my stuff, its just i was having trouble figuring everything out in my sleep deprived state
