question on box for xxx's

ok i am going to be building a box thats 10 cbft divided in half so 2 diff ported chambers of 5 cbft each one would have a 18" xxx in it. would 3/4 mdf be thick enough to build the box?

Yes to a point 3/4" would work if u brace it well, and put two layers on the front to support the xxx better

Iould 1" be better to use?for bracing would rebar be a good thing to use? Scince it is small ad strong? I have no idea how much they weigh.

hey u have a 18" XXX.....me too and i dunno how to build a box for this monster...it weigh like 55 to 60 lbs not sure ahaha something like that..but ya..do u have any designs?

no i dont have them yet but i am pretty much decided i am going to get them. whut is the mounting depth? i need to know if my box is tall enough for them. i am building a custom box for my caddy to fit in the whole trunk and in the spare tire whole too

ok got that solved they said it was like 12 inchs' and 460 each time to start saving my pay checks to get them but it will be worth it

hey were did u get urs at? i was just quoted 460 today. my box i am building is 14.5x39x31.5 the a smaller box below that that is going to bo in to the spare tire well.

yeah it is ported i am going to put a divider down the center so 2 boxs around 5 cbft tuned at 30hz
