Question - Mercury Sable LS

I have a question - I am thinking about buying a 99 Mercury Sable LS. If I buy it I will want to swap out the factory cassette stereo. It is the model with the auto climate control and stereo combined. I know for the Sable GS with the standard climate control knobs there is a kit for aftermarket stereos, but can I swap out the stereo in this one with the auto climate control? If so, where would I find the kit?

Crutchfield only seems to have the kit for the regular climate control knobs, I don't see one for the auto climate control. But they do have CD changers, how easy would it be to hook one of those to the factory system?

very easy if it has the changer controls integrated into the headunit.

there is not kit for an autoclimate control car, either mod ur factory dash and glass it to fit a new radio, or leave oem radio

you could always ditch the whole auto control system for a manual one but you deff will have to hit up a junk yard and go to town

Your out of luck. There is no way to do it unless you modify your factory radio panel to fit a cd player. It can be and has been done. You techically could convert yours to manual climate controls, but I think it would be a waste of time.

I would just mount it somewhere else.
