Slander and libel are the terms. Celebs sue for monetary compensation on the grounds that their proffesion is based on their image to the public, so things of this nature would be derrogitory to said intellectual property and could interfere with their work.Not sure of the name of the charge but it has to do with ruining someone's reputation.
Celeb's sue for that kind of stuff.
