Question for the lifters

get whey protien isolates

i don't remember the brand i have, but the flavor is double rich chocolate and its AMAZING. blend a scoop with 6 oz of milk, 2 ice cubes and a spoonful of peanut butter... delicious

If you're not combining that post-workout whey with some type of simple carb., I'd highly recommend it. Consuming whey before bed is something of a waste - that's where a protein like casein is ideal. I always eat peanut butter and cottage cheese before bed, it's an ideal anti-catabolic combo.
ew shiit:) . high 5 for you!

Has anyone had noticeable results working out without protein and then switching to a workout with protein?? Been working out for 3 years without and was just wondering if the protein was worth it..
it's worth it. if i were u i would start out with slow digesting protein and a simple carb, something along the lines of fried chicken and mountainberry kool-aid.

Ive been lifting for 4 years, I use 100% whey protein by ON and it works really good. Dosent taste the best, but after 2 weeks with my regular routine, I can see the difference.

Hell yea its worth it... It feeds the muscle after the workout breakdown... And to the last postr.. I love the swell after a big workout.. Wish i could have a perma swell //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i use the GNC regular whey, it's ~$20 and IIRC 21 grams per serving... and i have gained 12 pounds in the last 3 months //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I know protein is protein but what is the best brand to buy as far as buying the most servings per tub and the most protein /serving

Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey is great protein. The price is fair, 24 grams of protein per serving. The vanilla powder is TASTY. This is good pure protein and it digests great and it won't give you gas lol :p

Umm I doubt you will see RESULTS from taking protein, but your muscles may seem less fatigued? Your muscles will repair quicker.

The GNC protein does the job too. Tastes pretty decent as well.

Add creatine to your workout too. It helps you squeeze in a few extra reps, and those extra reps seriously help. If anybody tells you creatine is bad for you, they are talking out of their ***** because they actually have no idea. Drink the recommended about of water with the creatine and you will be fine. I was stuck at benching 180 for a long time, after a few cycles of creatine I'm up to 250 now.
