Question for religious people.......

he's all powerful, how could you not follow his plan? He can control us to do what he wants us to if he's all powerful right?
no, he gives you the option of choice - you can either follow his plan or choose to not follow his plan - the choice is yours - he has laid out for you your reward for accepting him as your Lord and Savior; like your father promising you a new car if you get an A in History; instead you CHOOSE to skip and fail, guess what - you don't get the new car based on your CHOICE to skip and fail.

You speak so generally, I am a christian and I don't have any problems with T-rex or the fact that the earth is older than 6000 years
Chrisitanity is a way to save yourself from the hell of no hope, not a way to control the masses

The Catholic church has done some horrible things, but Christianty was flourishing far before the existence of Catholicism.
Are you familiar with the Philosophers that sat around and developed methods of controlling large groups of people through talking far before Christianity came about?

You think this is such a far fetched idea yet people have devoted their whole lives to it in a time when everyone was clueless. People didn't know why anything worked. Why objects fell down instead of up when let go of was a complete mystery still. People were even stupider back then and willing to believe anything that answered their questions.

Overall, I feel religion today is more so a tool for making people feel important about themselves. Gives them a false hope so that they have something to live for. I'm not saying that I don't believe in a higher entity above us, but I think to follow a religion that's almost 2000 years old with so many holes in its logic reasoning is ridiculous. I think if every Christian really sat down and observed both sides of the argument, and I mean REALLY unbiasedly looked at the facts, there would be a lot less Christians. This is of course assuming everyone is smart enough to do such a thing.

no, from what i heard dinosaurs co-exsited with man. there's a piece in the old testament about where it describes large beasts with thick legs and large tails. something like that....... hold on
It wasnt an "official" explanation, just something I have heard/read.

Oh. I have a fantasy about being a homeless person. I want to see if I can survive on the streets, but I want a friend with me. No one I know is willing to accompany me.
Yes, a dr trying to save a life; makes a mistake and goes to prison for manslaughter is a terrible person. sheesh.
The homeless thing people have done. One on OT, one on NN. The one on OT was really serious about his.

But none of their bones survived...

The universe is all the more beautiful without a man in the sky using us as toys.
