What about the low note i the song I mentioned?

I've just started to use that song as one of my reference tracks also.

I recently built a test box for a single Sundown E8 and with 0.6 Cu ft net and the port tuned to 32Hz, the 30 - 80hz was definately loud, as expected the roll off was steeper below 32 than I have experienced before with sealed set ups, but not as steep as I'd imagined. I could hear the note you are talking about, maybe at 1/2 the audible volume of the higher stuff.

You have made me wonder though weather I need a ported design for the 2 x E8's that are going in my truck now.

I guess the only way to truly see what suits the vehicle and your ear best is to build a variable displacement box with removeable/adjustable porting and do a series of tests with your test tracks from your music types.

Yeah, right now with two IDMax 12's sealed in 1.5 gross each, that note is VERY prominent.

There isnt a LOT of this stuff in music but when its there, I dont want to miss it!
