If this helps, the Alpine is like $50 cheaper, the Pioneer has 16 extra EQ bands, that I believe are independent for each channel versus 10 bands on the Alpine.
Besides that, no HD radio for the Pioneer or option to add it. HD radio built in the Alpine, both offer BT.
Both units will give you excellent sound quality, and offer many HP,LP passive xover settings with many adjustments and time alignment that can be set automatically.
The Alpine may offer a better screen display, but it may be a personal choice. Unless you plan to use a 3 way active active set up, the Alpine may be sufficient for your needs.
