Question, for an expert on audio

ok so i have a single 15 that im going to run at a 1ohm load and a mono 2 channel amp stable at 1 ohm, only prob is that is confusing me - its a 2 channel amp so if i only hook up my 1 15 to 1 pos and 1 neg on amp and the other channel is empty will that effect how much powers going to my sub? will i still get 1200@1ohm ( which is what the amp is rated at) if i only hook my sub up to the 1 channel and leave the other free?

sorry, my bad it was a typo, anyway im guessing this is any easy question just wanna make sure im going to get my 1200 watts - what im talking baout is 1 Fi Q 15 and a orion 1200d amp

No its a mono block amp, wont effect Power

There are some amps that are wired in a way so that you can get different resistances by doing different things.

Throw us a name / model number of the amp you have and the sub model number / producer and we can tell you what you need to do.

its an orion 1200d and Fi Q 15 with bp option, gonna wire it 1ohm to amp, just making sure theres nothing special i gotta do besides the basic wiring (which i know what to do) and hopefuly these will go well together
