question about wiring 3 4ohm subs

lets say i have a 2 channel amp that puts out 500w per channel. and lets say i wire a speaker to the left channel and 2 speakers to the right channel.

will the left channel get 500w, and the 2 subs on the right channel get 250w per sub?

dont do it, bridge the amp and then wire all the subs together to that 1 bridged channel , but you have to make sure ur amp can drop to whatever ohm level that is

but see these subs have different power handling. the single sub on the left channel can take 400-800w and the 2 smaller subs on the right can take 200-500. im trying to figure out the best way to go about this withought having to buy 2 amps, but still maximizing the subs output.

do they make in line regulators of some sort? maybe something to underpower a sub if its receiving too much of it?

The best way to do it would be to choose.

Either take the two that are the same or the single one. Not all of them.

Post up specs and model numbers on the subs and on the amp also.

the subs would be (1)15" rl-p dual4 and (2)8" rl-i dual 4. i dont have an amp right now.

ok wut if i ported the 15 and kept the 8's sealed. allowing them to work with the allotted, lets say, 500w rms each

No...cancelation will kill you. also the RL-i's dont make good Midbass drivers either, Their Frequency Response gets poor up in the 100Hz or so range. Just use the single Rl-p and sell the Rl-i's or use them in your home or another car.

see that is the opposite of what im planning. i dont have any rl-i's right now. i am debating on getting a cpl 8's, someone has offered a trade for one of my 15's. im just trying to lay this out b4 i do something i will regret. so if i could use my other 15 and 2 8's it would be awesome.

Well, you can't effectively use the 15 and the 8s so either don't make the trade or plan on one or the other.
