Question about wire in engine bay

I have 4/0, and nothing to protect it besides the coating on it. Is there some kind of shielding I need to get or will it be fine? Used to do big 3.

Just don't stick it on the pistons or wrap it around your radiator, lol

This. It's not rocket science, there's other cables and whatnot running through the bay.

I'm overprotective of my stuff. I really don't want 4/0 grounding out on my engine block, just doesn't seem like that would work out well.

I used flex tubing and zip ties. Just keep the wire from contacting any hot surfaces and u will be fine.
