Question about underpowering BTL

Gosh this sucks, I guess since I wont be getting them till december I can think about it.
I would really like to put them in my panel truck but dont want to tear that all out just to have a big system in there, so its going to be going in my car which will either be a dodge avenger if I decide to get it fixed or some other car I buy which is what I would rather do. No matter what I'm going to wall it cuz I have no need for my back seat in a car.

I listen to rap prolly 75% of the time and 25% other stuff. I planned on tuning between 32-34ish, but if people think with that little power it wont hit the lows I could tune 30-32ish. I mean if the BTL's being underpowered gets just as loud or close to the BL's being powered good I will just get the BTL's and get another amp in the future.

The BTL I heard I agree didnt sound like the best thing in the world but it was still able to play pretty much anything thrown at it, and that was with only 800 watts.

If you mostly listen to 'normal' rap all the time, you probably wont be too worried about the BTL's response, even off minimal power its going to have a lower end to it, just not as much as if it had the power it desires //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/boink.gif.91933e72f927f2cefc79aff02573090c.gif

Mehh i believe i read somewhere that david said the MT is louder than the se/sx/xxx at any given power level. If thats true since the MT and BTL are similiar, wouldn't it be the same for the BTL with the rest of Fi subs since the MT and BTL are supposed to be super efficient. Even if I'm wrong if you are going to upgrade power down the line i see nothing wrong with buying the BTL's now to save you some cash

Alright cool, thats what I heard about the BTL being more efficient so thats why I figured it would still be as loud if not louder. I really listen to everything but when I really want to bump its always the young jeezy, dj unk, gorilla zoe type of rap. Thanks for the replies guys.

About an hour northwest of detroit, near wixom/brighton area kind of. Yeah let me know if you ever need anything, I always help people in the area out.

And I second the guy above ^^^

If your for sure going to upgrade the power for them down the road, then go for it, but it just wouldnt be right to spend the cash for BTL's and under power them their whole life.
