Question about underpowering a sub

you're going to be grossly underpowering that sub. and you only have 1? you'll have channels on your 4 ch not even being used then. let's assume these ratings are actual ratings (i don't like audiobahn and i don't) then you have 1 sub with dvc 6 ohms and 1 4 channel 75x4 amp. your wiring options are either 2 x 6 ohms or 1 x 3 ohms. your sub voice coils have the thermal capacity to handle 1000 watts. your amp will put out 225x2 @ 6 ohms and that's the only thing it is safely rated at. this is fine if you aren't trying to max out your sub but if you want some real pounding from that think you 100% need a better amp (not recommending another audiobahn either)

I have the alum12X which is also "rated" at 1000 rms. Im powering it with the a18001dq audiobahn amp @ 3 ohms, "supplying" 900 watts rms. I dont care if audiobahn inflates their numbers, it is getting enough power, and the sound quality on this sub is pretty **** good for the $60 i paid for it. (.88 sealed box btw)
