question about tuning

I'm gonna run a type r in a 2 cu/ft box, I want something thats gonna sound good for a daily driver.

heres my setup so far:

type r (4 ohm dvc)

Alpine MRP-M650 @ 2 ohms (600w rms)

kicker wires

the thing i'm unsure about but was just told to do was have a tune of 34 hertz. Now i'm more of a learner and I still dont quite grasp the concept of what the tuning does and how the higher and lower tuning effects the sound of the sub. I know the tuning is done on the amp but thats about it.

I don't think a Type R is ever going to particularly sound good...no matter what enclosure it's placed in...

I've just got my heart on the type r, so unless yall can make some recommendations for about the same price and power, I'll be getting it.

Unfortunately I realize that SQ doesnt come loud unless I pay out some serious cash.

I just want to know what totune it at. Should I go 30hertz? 31? 34? I'm not sure. If it can go loud as all get out thats fine with me. I'll just turn it down when I just want some bass and not car vibrating bass.

If I had to stick with the Type-R I'd probably go with 30hz. Or maybe try sealed.

I'm really liking that eclipse, I'm starting to think that the type r is gonna be replaced. Correct me if I'm wrong but that eclipse is just a tc sounds sub with the eclipse logo right? I should still be able to push 600rms through it right? You can't push them up past 700-800 watts rms but 600 is still safer in a general sense?

BTW they talk of a titanium version and I cannot find one. If you know where one might be found, please send a link my way.
