question about the w6...

i am getting the jlw6...but i dont know if i should get the 10 inch with the premade jl box..or the 12 inch and get my own box made by someone...

the 10inch with the jl box is 600 cdn..and the 12inch is 500 cdn...i can get the box made free...

but thing i heard is that the w6 wont sound good if it isnt in the right box...if i use the recommended specs given for the 12w6 on the site..will that be good?

or should i just get the 10inch already in the jl box...

i care about sq...but would like it too hit hard too

honestly, i personally think most pre made boxes are jokes, get the 12 and have a GOOD box built, and talk to somepeople that have worked with w6's and build a box around what they tell you, you will be much more satisfied

build your own ported box for the 12. that sounds like an awful lot of money for a sub. there is much better out there imo for that kinda cash. how much is that american?

i listen to everything from hip hop alternative and house...im going sealed cuz i want sq and i dont think i have enough trunk space for a ported box

o because against the thoughts by the masses ported can sound really good and then get louder than sealled, if you had the room i would reccoment a ported, but its up to u

i would build it no bigger then jl specs. if need be you could always add polyfill

yup make your own. like i said before you can also add polyfill.

Nice GF. I'd go with the 12w6v2. $100 for a sealed box.. thats fokin insanely high IMO. Price is pretty high, but in the right box/power you'll be in love with it I'm sure.
