Question about the hifonic amp models

So I admittedly know next to nothing when it comes to amps besides what I have read on these forums. I thought I finally decided for the best bang for the buck Brutus series amps, but when I started looking at the options I got confused. I am going to run a sa12d2 at 1ohm. So here is what I found.

This is the newest model of the older brx1100.d which there were plenty of favorable reviews from, the older model. The brx1116.1d

But for the same or similar pricing I could get the Brx2000.1 Hifonics BRX2000.1D 2000W RMS Class-D Monoblock Brutus Series Amp

Also the Brutus elite line can be had for around the same price.

So I'm looking for a bit of advice as too what you guys would do. I'm looking for around 1000w to power my sub and won't be upgrading in the immediate future. I am putting my spending cap on this portion of my system of around $250.

Get the JBL MS-A5001 on Amazon for $199 and go 4ohm. Or find a good used 1000 at 1ohm Korean.

1. I've heard the elite series run slightly cleaner than the other two, would you go with the bre1200.d from that unknown source over sites like sonicelectronics?

2. The brx1200.d is hard to find in stock, that why I was asking about the replacement brx1116.d, doesn't compare?


3. Being new to the amp game, I didn't know about the SQ/AQ vs. HiFonics battle. But I see that (with anything we feel strongly about) there are two camps giving personal anecdotes (I.e. Meaningless) and similar bench specs between the two so I am still torn on spending more money for a product that isn't clearly better, but I'll keep reading.

No it is rated correctly with a built in DSP. Tuned clean power will beat cheap power any day. It also does 500 at 2 and 4 ohm.

Or if somic has it then go with them just make sure you get warranty. Their refurbs take a crap really quick 70% of the time.

Nope those 3 series are the only ones that do close to rated.

I have both sq1200 and brz1200 and the sq is cleaner and louder but it also cost me $120 more. So its up to you but avoid any other hifonics model.

Well, the sq1200 is on backorder at many sites making it hard to get ahold of one.
