question about the big 3

ok so i was thinking. im going to running 2 runs of wire from my front batt to my back batt( one pos, one ground ) and than hooking the amp right up to the rear batt. so heres my question, do i have to all 3 parts of the big three? or would it just be enough if i just do the pos off the alt to the batt? if im grounding off a batt than do i have to upgrade the grounds? if some one could clear this up for me id be very grateful.

you also want to upgrade the alt's ground, and the car's chassis ground so that it's the whole circuit.

ok the alts ground makes sence to me. but why the chassis? the ground for the amp is going to be coming off the second batt?

i dont understand what u mean. its chassis to engine block. its not hard to do and is probably the easiest.

ill try to make this clear. if im running both a positive and ground wire from my front battery to my rear battery why is the chasis ground necessary? im not going to be grounding to the chassis so is it necessary ? if so why

because the alt runs the car's electrical while the car is on. you are upgrading the wire to the chassis so that it is more efficient. which is the whole point here...
