question about sub pre-outs

so what really do they do? are there any advantages when haveing a hu with sub pre-outs. will there be more bass.

so what really do they do?

They are an output that is dedicated to be used for your subwoofer's amplifier.

Only difference between it and any other RCA output is that the HU has features built-in that only work on that preout such as a lowpass crossover, adjustable output level, phase control, ability to switch it on/off, etc.

are there any advantages when haveing a hu with sub pre-outs.

The use of features that I mentioned above.

will there be more bass.
