Question about setting gain with multimeter

I have an amp that runs 600rms bridged 4 ohms.

I have 4ohm DVC alpine type r. Wires in parallel at 2 ohms.

I dont think the amp runs 1200rms bridged 2 ohms.

Kenwood HU has Sub output level from -15 to +15. It is 2v output. Not sure if I should put it on +15 or 0.

I did the calculations and AV voltage should be 34.6 for 600rms 2ohms BUT since I think this model doesnt put out any current higher than 650rms should I calculate it at 600rms 4ohms which would make it 48.9 v.. and do I disconnect sub then measure, or just measure with subs connected so that it takes the resistance into account?

leave the sub level control on the headunit at 0.

yes you need to disconect the sub from the amp, if you turn it up too high you could blow the sub.

if the sub is wired to run 2 ohms and you want to run it at 600watts than go to the 34.6

See, I did exactly that already. and it seems like the sub could go louder.

This amp is designed to run full potential (600rms) @ 4 ohms. It is still stable at 2ohms but it doesnt produce extra power.

So should I set it at 49?
